The West Coast Modern League is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and advancing the understanding of West Coast Modern architecture, with a particular focus on Greater Vancouver. Through lectures, publications, partnerships and advocacy, the organization works to strengthen architectural culture and encourage the preservation of significant post-war buildings.

The identity needed to feel timeless while expressing the movement’s close relationship with the natural landscape. Drawing on one of West Coast Modernism’s defining principles—the blurring of the boundary between indoors and outdoors—the logo combines the familiar silhouette of a post-and-beam structure with trees and mountains that define the region. Rather than depicting a building literally, the mark expresses the seamless relationship between architecture and its surroundings. Reduced to its simplest form, the identity captures both the philosophy of West Coast Modernism and the distinctive character of the geography.
