Ottakringer Brewery

Brauerei Ottakringer, founded in 1837, is the last large brewery remaining in Vienna. Although it already had a retail outlet at its city brewery, the experience was largely functional and lacked the brand presence expected from such a distinctive local institution. The space also needed to support a broader offer, helping customers buy beer in bottles, cans or kegs, while renting everything needed for events, from glassware and pumps to portable bars.

This concept reimagined the outlet as a more complete customer experience, with a stronger visual personality and a clearer connection to the brewery itself. A bold graphic platform used Ottakringer’s recognizable colour palette and worked directly with the semi-industrial warehouse setting, rather than disguising it. Together, the graphics, materials and environment made the space feel like a true extension of the brewery, reinforcing the freshness and immediacy of buying beer directly from the source.
