For over thirty years, Prince George, BC-based Winton Homes & Cottages (formerly Winton Global Homes) is considered an industry-leader in building quality pre-manufactured homes and cottages. Business divisions extend to production of engineered housing components such as roof trusses and floor systems and also specialize in supplying housing solutions for First Nations communities.
With a continued increase in the popularity of prefabricated and manufactured homes and more competition in the industry, Winton decided their visual identity was tired and looked for a much-needed refresh. The first major change was a name change; the ‘Global’ part of their name never really had any relevance, as almost all their business was based in Western Canada. We also recommended a shift in their brand focus to the lifestyle resulting from building a manufactured home rather than on the practical manufacturing process itself. This resulted in a clearer emotional engagement with customers and connection to the final product.
As well as a new brand identity conceptually reflecting this renewed focus, we also developed a simple look for print collateral which emphasized this more emotional engagement and gave the brand greater clarity while increasing their visual presence.
