Grandview Heights
Aquatic Centre

Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre, designed by HCMA in Surrey, is both a community anchor and a major training and competition venue, known for its extraordinary timber catenary roof. My role was to design a wayfinding system that felt fully integrated with the architecture, not retrofitted later.

Inspired by the roofline, interior finishes and colour palette, the primary signs use layered construction, while other elements are applied directly to concrete block walls. The system helps visitors move clearly through the public spaces, including the universal change area; an important navigation challenge for guests more familiar with traditional gender-separated facilities.
